Overview of Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT/DPT)
Detailed testing capabilities provided by NP Technical Services Pvt. Ltd. from our West Tambaram, Chennai facility.
Liquid Penetrant Testing utilizes low-viscosity penetrant liquids applied to clean test surfaces. Capillary action draws the dye into surface-breaking flaws, which are drawn out by developer powder to create high-contrast visible or fluorescent indications.
The component surface is thoroughly cleaned and degreased. Low-viscosity penetrant dye is applied and allowed to soak (dwell time) into surface-breaking cracks via capillary action. Excess penetrant is removed, and developer powder is applied to draw out the entrapped penetrant (blotting effect), producing clear magnified visual indications of flaws.
Certified Technical Execution Across Tamil Nadu
